What is Zukan.TV?
Introduction
Zukan.TV is a video site for researchers. It broadcasts interviews with researchers from various fields and areas of the world. As of May 2009, it contains 345 interviews (including Japanese and English). Through conversations between the researchers and the interviewer, Zukan.TV aims to reveal the motivation for research as well as the true face of researchers, which can’t be obtained through their papers. Try watching some of their interviews - you might gain inspiration from research in several different areas.
Zukan.TV’s activity is not limited to interviewing and online broadcasting. It provides closed seminars held by researchers from various fields, as well as other activities which promote collaboration between researchers. By utilizing know-how gathered through over 300 interviews, Zukan.TV also cooperates with outside organizations such as iCeMS (Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences, Kyoto University).
Zukan.TV are always looking for researchers who are interested in doing an interview. For more details, see here.
